Possible City of Houston Ambulance Fee Increases

The Greater Houston EMS Council received information that a possible ambulance permitting fee increase was in the works. We requested that the EMS Program City
of Houston Heath and Human Services department attend our next meeting. As of 10-21-09 they have not contacted us to confirm that they would attend our meeting to
discuss this matter. A second invite to Brenda Reyes, MD, MPH Bureau Chief went out today. The Board of GHEMSC met today and has decided to take quick action on
this matter. As part of that effort we have began the process of contacting all ambulance providers in the City of Houston to join us in the effort to have stake holder
input into any ambulance fee proposal for the City of Houston. The fee increase is significant and would greatly impact the EMS workers and the citizens of the City of
Houston. Therefore it is important to have stakeholder input on any new fee structure.

We have attached a list of the proposed fees as we understand them to be.
